Week 11: Teapots/Brushes

Layered Teapot
Craft was simply using different layers for each type of line. Each color and direction of line is on its own layer. Together all these layers complete the image and background.
Composition is simply just an accident. I began creating this piece not know what was to come of it. I had no plan for any compositional layouts to be done but this is how it turned out.
Concept- the concept for these pots was to let the lines create the image. Not to outline the pot and begin drawing the pot. By only creating the lines, this allowed the lines to create the image of the teapot.

  1. Even though your composition came about by accident, you could still describe it. Top: you can say that it's bottom heavy, a quarter white space above. One's eyes move from top to bottom, bring attention to the darker tea pots, slightly off center.

Composition - is a description of how your elements are arranged on the page and the size of the elements are discussed as well.
