Special Edition:Museum Classical Wing

Composition: The composition for this piece is very typical of the classical style of painting. It has a tight closed form and everything seems to be pretty symmetrical.
Craft: This piece had amazing detail. The brush strokes were perfect and every little detail of each piece was done neatly and precisely. Up close, the detail is amazing. Its hard to believe what some of these classical artists could accomplish with a brush.
Concept. I choose this piece because the concept is rather rare. Here you have a bum or beggar being shown in a piece of art. Usually the only ones that are being painted are people who could afford it or people of importance, so to see a beggar painted this large is quite unique, especially when the artist refers to him as a philosopher in the title.
